Behind TSF

The founder Brandon of Northern California founded The Stoic Fighter after years of practicing Muay Thai and being introduced to Stoic philosophy by way of one of the most famous and historic books 'Meditations' written by Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius. Brandon gives Muay Thai and Stoic philosophy credit for helping him become a better person inside and outside of the gym. He wanted to combine the two in a creative way to share them with the world in hopes of helping others forge inner and outer strength and the brand has since evolved into a brand that encourages training to endure physically and mentally using both Stoicism and ANY challenging fitness endeavor in order to become the best version of yourself and to lead by example. TSF is tailored for individuals with a resilient fighting spirit who are dedicated to self-improvement with the aim of making a positive impact on the world by fighting the good fight on a daily basis.

Our Mission

Stoic philosophy and challenging physical endeavors have a lot more in common than most people might think. Courage, discipline, wisdom and justice are common Stoic virtues that align with the teachings learned in doing hard things. Both the philosophy and physical challenges help us to become better humans in all aspects. We combined the pair in order to share them with the world. We do not believe you have had to step into a ring or have competed in combat to be considered a “fighter”. This is for those with resilient fighting spirits focused on self-improvement. This brand is for the everyday individual fighting to become a better person to the literal fighter in the ring or cage. “Difficulties strengthen the mind, as labor does the body”-Seneca
